Hiding
machines from the Browse list
If you don't want a particular server to show up on your network's browse list, modify the following Registry key and it will be invisible!!! Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ From the Edit menu, choose Add Value and type: Hidden. In the Data Type field, choose REG_DWORD and choose OK. In the Data field, type 1 to enable hiding (0 makes it visible again) and choose OK. Hiding the last logged-in user If you want a little more security on your NT system, hide the last user to log on. To do this go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon Create a new string value. Rename the value to DontDisplayLastUserName and set the value to 1. Reboot the machine. Now every time you logon on the username field will be set to blank. To turn this off set the value to 0.
